Smaller rooms. Looser crowds. Faster feedback. The kind of sets that actually build a DJ.
Pubs are honest. If a transition doesn't work, the room tells you instantly. If a song hits, you see it in the first eight bars.
Every weekend in a Toronto or Durham pub is a lab night for me. The big rooms get the polished version of what I learned here.
